A brief Curacao update!

Aviation in Curacao is not taking a break while I work on the photos from our trip to Germany, just like it did not take a break while we were away!

First was an unexpected visior on June 28th, a TAP Air Portugal Airbus A330-941 that diverted to Curacao due to weather conditions at its intended destination, Caracas. I waited for it to depart for about 2 hours, by which time it was getting quite dark.

Earlier that day, Global Crossing Airlines’ cargo Airbus A321-232(PCF), registered N989CM paid us a visit. The converted airliner had already made a trip to the island while we were in Germany, so I was quite happy to catch it so soon after our return home.

Another “vacation miss” was Copa Cargo, with the new service to from Panama City starting while we were away. I was able to photograph HP-1522WWP, a Boeing 737-8V3(BCF), on July 3rd.

Lastly, I was able to catch up with Venezuela’s Solar Cargo and their Boeing 727F on July 5th. I had missed its inaugural arrival due to work and it had made several trips to Curacao while we were off-island.
