Finally some exciting new visitors!

Wow, it has been over 3 weeks since I last had something exciting to photograph!

This past week, however, brought me some nice new catches!

The first visitor was quite unexpected. The United States Navy sent us a Boeing P-8A Poseidon, BuNo 168858, for a quick fuel stop. The aircraft is currently deployed to Comalapa, El Salvador (MSLP), with Patrol Squadron 10 (VP-10) “Red Lancers”. The Poseidon had spent the day operating in support of operations in Haiti and returned to MSLP after the stop in Curaçao. The same aircraft visited us again 2 days later and I was able to capture the taxi shot I wanted.

Second was N775JB, a JetBlue Airbus A32-232 named “Vets in Blue”. Those of you following this blog will know that I am chasing all of the company’s special liveries. The skies were absolutely clear until roughly 5 minutes before landing. I got completely soaked but, the change in weather added a bit of mood and drama to my images so I am not complaining.

I’m working on some new shot ideas and new types of posts for this blog. One of those ideas is to take you along on one of my photo outings. I would include photos of the locations, how to get there, what the view is like and, of course, the resulting images. What do you think?
