The Lacsa bird. Finally!

One more struck from the spotting list, thanks to Avianca.

N821AV, an Airbus A320-214 in the “Lacsa” heritage special livery, made a visit to Curaçao last week. The aircraft had previously made the trip from Bogota, but I had been able to get to the airport in time to get some photographs. The national airline of Costa Rica, Lacsa was formed on October 17, 1945 and began scheduled service the following year using Douglas DC-3s. Now operating as Avianca Costa Rica SA, the airline is part of the same group of South/Central American airlines using the Avianca brand.

The last Aviance special on my list is N776AV, an Airbus A320-251N in the “AeroGal” heritage special livery. I saw this aircraft taxiing in Bogota last year while I was waiting for a flight but, unfortunately, all I had was my phone and the terminal windows were very dirty. Who knows when I will see it again.
