NATO’s Multi-National MRTT Fleet (MMF) dropped in to Curaçao last week.
The fleet of 9 Airbus A330 MRTT are a shared capability between Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, The Netherlands, and the Czech Republic. The aircraft are based at both Eindhoven in The Netherlands, and Cologne in Germany. The tankers wear Royal Netherlands Air Force roundels and serial numbers but are owned by NATO.
This aircraft, serial T-054, was operated by a mostly-Luftwaffe crew and came to the island from Cologne. It made the return trip the following evening.
