Shooting with my new Canon R5

Over the last few days, I finally caught some very interesting visitors here in Curaçao.

The UK Royal Air Force has made another appearance last Sunday, sending us Atlas C1 serial ZM407, which I had not previously photographed. I decided to try shooting at a slower shutter speed to change things up, and see how the R5’s autofocus performs.

The following day, Aerosucre was so kind as to send us HK-5216, their Boeing 727F painted in the company’s new livery. I hope to see it again soon as I was only able to catch it on the ground.

I am impressed so far with the Canon R5. There’s a significant learning curve coming from the 7D MkII and EOS R. The camera feels great, the controls are quite intuitive, and it is remarkably fast. I will have more on that subject later on.
