USN P-8A Poseidon BuNo 168858 VP-10 Red Lancers and JetBlue A320-232 N775JB Vets in Blue at Curaçao
Wow, it has been over 3 weeks since I last had something exciting to photograph!
This past week, however, brought me some nice new catches!
The first visitor was quite unexpected. The United States Navy sent us a Boeing P-8A Poseidon, BuNo 168858, for a quick fuel stop. The aircraft is currently deployed to Comalapa, El Salvador (MSLP), with Patrol Squadron 10 (VP-10) “Red Lancers”. The Poseidon had spent the day operating in support of operations in Haiti and returned to MSLP after the stop in Curaçao. The same aircraft visited us again 2 days later and I was able to capture the taxi shot I wanted.
Second was N775JB, a JetBlue Airbus A320-232 named “Vets in Blue”. Those of you following this blog will know that I am chasing all of the company’s special liveries. The skies were absolutely clear until roughly 5 minutes before landing. I got completely soaked but, the change in weather added a bit of mood and drama to my images so I am not complaining.
