Albatros Airlines Boeing 737-5L9 YV3001 Resumes Curaçao Service After Venezuela Regulatory Issues

Seems like it has once again “forever and a day” since I last had an aircraft to talk about!

Albatros Airlines resumed service to Curacao yesterday. The carrier had begun flying to our little island a few months ago using an Embraer 120 but run into regulatory trouble with Venezuela’s civil aviation authority. For the weeks that followed, the entire company’s flight schedule was cancelled.

Things must have improved, as yesterday we were treated to the company’s Boeing 737-5L9, registered YV3001. I was happy to catch a new airline and even more so to photograph a pre-NG 737.
