Australian first !

G’day mate !

Curacao avgeeks experienced a historic event on September 3rd!

VH-E2A, a Virgin Australia Embraer E190-E2 made a short fuel stop on our island, arriving from Sao Jose Dos Campos, Brazil (SJK/SBSJ). The brand-new jet is the first for the Australian carrier and is on its delivery trip. Furthermore, the airliner is also the 1900th E-Jet built by Embraer and carries special markings to note this achievement.

Named “Coral Bay”, VH-E2A departed just after 5pm bound for Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport, Texas (BRO/KBRO). On September 4th, it continued on to Ontario International Airport, California (ONT/KONT) and Kona International Airport, Hawaii (KOA/PHKO). The rest of the route is expected to be Nadi International Airport, Fiji (NAN/NFFN) followed by Canberra International Airport (CBR/YSCB) and Perth Airport (PER/YPPH) in Australia.

Safe voyage and thanks for dropping in !
