Rare Visitor: Lynden Air Cargo L-100 Hercules N401LC Delivers Engine to Stranded American Airlines A321 at Curaçao

A nice surprise to end the month, courtesy of American Airlines.

N404AN, an American Airlines Airbus A321N broke down in Curaçao a few days ago, and has been sitting on the airport’s cargo ramp ever since. I guess it needed some major work in order to return to the United States.

Late yesterday afternoon, I received word that a Lynden Air Cargo Lockheed L-100 Hercules was inbound from Miami with a replacement engine for the grounded Airbus.
