Eastern Airlines Boeing 777-212ER N771KW First of Three Charter Visits to Curaçao
Eastern Airlines Boeing 777-212ER N771KW arrived at Curaçao on April 25th 2025, operating charter flight EAL3511 from Providence T.F. Green International Airport (PVD/KPVD), marking the first of three charter visits the airline would make to the island over the following ten days.
The aircraft overnighted at Hato, departing the following day as EAL9511 bound for Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA/KIWA). A second visit followed on April 30th, this time originating from Portsmouth International Airport (PSM/KPSM) in New Hampshire, departing the same day to Providence via Miami. The third charter arrived on May 4th from Providence once again, overnighting before departing to Portsmouth via Miami on May 5th. The purpose of the charters remains unknown, but this sort of ad-hoc charter is the core business of Eastern Airlines.
Eastern Airlines 777s have been a regular presence in the Caribbean during the past 12 months, operating deportation flights to Caracas, Venezuela on behalf of the US government.
Today's Eastern Airlines bears no connection to the iconic original carrier that ceased operations in 1991. The current airline traces its roots to Dynamic Airways, founded in 2010 as a charter and ACMI operator, rebranding as Eastern Airlines in 2018 following bankruptcy restructuring. Headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, the airline operates a small fleet of Boeing 767 and 777 aircraft focused primarily on charter, ACMI and government contract operations, with no scheduled passenger service currently active.
