Azul Logística Airbus A321P2F OE-ILL Delivery Flight Stop at Curaçao En Route from China to Brazil

October 19th, 2026 brought another first for Curaçao — the first visit by an Azul Logística Airbus A321(P2F) freighter.

OE-ILL, an Airbus A321-211(P2F) arrived at 1122am in the colours of Brazilian operator Azul Logística.

The aircraft had been at Tianjin, China (TSN/ZBTJ) for conversion to freighter configuration by ST Engineering/EFW since April 11th, 2026.

Departing China on October 17th, the delivery route included stops in Sapporo, Japan (CTS/RJCC), Fairbanks, Alaska (FAI/PAFA), San Antonio, Texas (SAT/KSAT) before making a fuel stop in Curaçao. OE-ILL departed the Caribbean island at 1243pm, heading for Belo Horizonte, Brazil (CNF/SBCF).

It is the second A321(P2F) carrying the new Azul Logística branding and the 4th aircraft delivered to the company.

Built in Hamburg-Finkenwerder, MSN 3419 was original delivered to Air France in March 2008 and registered as F-GTAS. In 2018 it was transferred to Air France subsidiary JOON but this was to be short-lived, with the aircraft returned to Air France mainline in June 2019 following the end of operations at JOON. In April 2026, the airliner was acquired by aircraft leasing company AerCap and was re-registered as OE-ILL for ferry and modification purposes. Once formally delivered to Azul Logística, it will be operated as PS-AJH.

EFW (Elbe Flugzeugwerke) is a joint venture between ST Engineering and Airbus established in 2001, specialising in Airbus aircraft Passenger-to-Freighter conversions at its facility in Dresden, Germany. The A321P2F program launched in 2015 and has become one of the most sought-after narrow-body freighter conversions in the industry, with over 100 conversions completed to date. Tianjin, China serves as an additional conversion facility for the program through ST Engineering's MRO operations there.
