Nightshoot time again !
With ongoing geopolitical events, resulting in many airlines avoiding Venezuela’s Maiquetía (SVZM) Flight Information Region (FIR), Brazilian airline Azul adjusted its route between Belo Horizonte (CNF/SBCF) and Curaçao (CUR/TNCC). The trip now requires a fuel stop in Manaus, Brasil (MAO/SBEG) before going West through Colombia or East through both the Piarco (TTZP) and San Juan (TJSZ) FIRs. The detour’s result is a late arrival in Curacao, posing a challenge for photography as TNCC does not offer many suitable vantage points and is not well lit.
The aircraft, PR-YRB, celebrates the airline being named as TripAdvisor’s “World best Airline 2020”. Azul does not tend to keep these special liveries for too long so it is quite surprising that it is still on the aircraft years later.
