Rare Visitor: Samaritan’s Purse Boeing 767-300F(ER) N367SP fuel stop in TNCC during Venezuela Earthquake Operations
Venezuelan Earthquake relief operations brought another rare visitor to Curaçao on July 15th, Samaritan’s Purse Boeing 767-381F(ER) N367SP. The cargo jet had departed Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO/KGSO) in Greensboro, North Carolina earlier that day bound for Caracas, Venezuela (CCS/SVMI). Having completed its mission in Caracas, N367SP departed for Curaçao for what turned out to be a brief fuel stop before returning to Greensboro.
Samaritan's Purse is a North Carolina-based evangelical Christian humanitarian relief organization founded in 1970, operating in over 100 countries providing aid to victims of war, disease, natural disasters and famine. Aviation has been central to the organisation's rapid response capability since 1975, with its fleet of over 20 aircraft operated by its Mission Aviation Services team based at Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro.
N367SP is the newest and largest aircraft in the Samaritan's Purse fleet. Built in 2006 and previously operated by ANA Cargo and Qantas Freight, it was acquired by Samaritan's Purse in early 2025 and formally dedicated on November 14th 2025, replacing the organisation's beloved Douglas DC-8 which had completed 219 missions carrying over 9.2 million pounds of relief supplies since 2016.
The 767's inaugural mission on October 24th 2025 delivered over 290,000 food packets to Gaza. Weeks later, it flew relief missions to Jamaica following Hurricane Melissa, notably deploying the Samaritan’s Purse emergency field hospital in a single lift - something not previously possible for the organization.

UPDATE: N367SP returned to Curaçao on August 13th, 2026 following a flight from Medellin, Colombia. Samaritan’s Purse had dispatched 48 tons of relief supplies following the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck the South American country on August 10th. The Boeing departed Curaçao on August 14th.
