AeroGal redemption!
I first saw this aircraft in Bogota, Colombia in December last year. I took photos with my phone through the terminal windows as it taxied by. Sadly, the windows were not clean and the reflections in the glass were very bad. Avianca’s route to Curacao is mostly served by Airbus A320-214 so the chances of catching this specific A320-251N at home were slim.
Until I received an alert from my FR24 app, telling me that my target was finally coming to the island.
N776AV is painted in this special heritage livery, honouring Ecuadoran airline AeroGal. The company later became part of the Avianca group and was renamed Avianca Ecuador S.A. It is one of the 7 regional-branded airlines in Avianca Group.
