Short Stops at Schiphol: Special Liveries Spotted Between Trips

With several short stops in Amsterdam during my recent European trip, I found myself with a few brief opportunities to visit Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport (AMS/EHAM). Although time was limited, I was still able to photograph a varied selection of interesting aircraft, in addition to the Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-8F, which I previously wrote about here.

  • Compass Air Cargo Boeing 747-428F LZ-CJC;

  • Vueling Airbus A320-232 EC-LUO “Athletic Club de Bilbao” livery;

  • Iberia Airbus A320-251N EC-NFZ “One World” livery;

  • Transavia Airbus A321-252NX PH-YHD “Retro” livery;

  • Nippon Cargo Airlines Boeing 747-8KZF JA11KZ with 40th anniversary decal;

  • SAS Airbus A319-132 OY-KBO “Retro” livery;

  • Norwegian Air Boeing 737-84P SE-RXA “UNICEF” livery; and

  • KlasJet Boeing 737-522 LY-KDT.

Even short visits to Schiphol can deliver surprises (along with frustrating misses) but ultimately always proves worth the effort.
