WestJet Boeing 737-8CT C-FLSF Former Swoop Aircraft Visits Curaçao

The December 18th Westjet flight from Toronto (YYZ/CYYZ) to Curaçao was operated by a former Swoop Boeing 737-8CT.

In June 2023, the Calgary-based airline announced that its Ultra-Low Cost Carrier (ULCC) Swoop would be shut down and fully integrated under the Westjet brand. This integration was one of the terms of the new collective bargaining agreement reached with the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) following years of disputes over differing pay and labour practices.

Launched in 2018 with two aircraft, Swoop would eventually operate 16 Boeing jets (ten 737-800 and six 737 max 8) and serve over 40 destinations.
